Stephen Elliott
President and Chief Executive Officer
Stephen Elliott is the President and Chief Executive Officer of IAI, North
America, the primary U.S. subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries. Prior to his
elevation to his present position, Mr. Elliott served IAI, North America as the
company’s General Counsel.
From 2012-2107, Mr. Elliott was Director of International Trade
Compliance for United Technologies Corporation. From 2009 to 2012 he was
Associate General Counsel for International Programs for the U.S. Navy.
Prior to joining the private sector, Mr. Elliott served 17 years as an attorney
and senior government official at the U.S. State and Defense Departments.
In 2007, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice appointed Mr. Elliott as
Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Compliance. In that position he
oversaw the development of U.S. policy relating to missile defense cooperation,
space policy and sanctions. He represented the U.S. at many international
conferences, including the United Nations, International Atomic Energy Agency,
the U.N. Conference on Disarmament and the U.N. Conference on Small Arms and
Light Weapons.
From 2003-2006, Mr. Elliott served in several State Department positions,
including as Chief of Staff to the Under Secretary of State for International
Security and Nonproliferation.
From 1994-2003 and again from 2009-2012 Mr. Elliott was a Department of
Defense attorney, specializing in foreign military sales, litigation and acquisition
law.
He is a graduate of Eastern University in St. David’s Pennsylvania and the
Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC.
