Lieutenant General Ted F. Bowlds (U.S. Air Force, Retired), President & CEO of IAI North America, provides leadership, management, strategic direction, and governance to IAI’s North American business and its subsidiaries. He is responsible for strategy, technical data transfer, engineering, and bringing innovative products to the US market. Prior to this position, Ted served as IAI North America’s Senior Vice President for Strategy, Technology, and Innovation.
During his 36-year career in the United States Air Force he worked on multiple large-scale, complex procurement activities that include the F-117 stealth fighter, B-2 bomber, and C-17 transport. Ted was the Commander of the AF Research Laboratory and Commander of Electronic Systems Center.
Ted holds a Ph.D. in System Engineering from George Washington University, attended the USAF Test Pilot School as a flight test engineer, and multiple leadership programs within the DoD.
Peter Costello is Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for IAI North America and is responsible for sales, marketing, business development, public relations, and government relations. Before joining IAI, Pete was the Senior Director for Business Development & Technical Sales for Honeywell’s Defense Americas business and the Senior Director & International Business Development Leader for Honeywell Defense & Space.
Prior to joining Honeywell International, Pete was the chief of the Combat Forces Division, Headquarters USAF; Commander of Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama; Chief of Planning & Integration on the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff; and Special Assistant to NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander, Atlantic and Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Atlantic Command. Pete is an experienced fighter instructor pilot with over 3,300 flight hours, predominantly in the F-16, A-10, and T-38.
He holds master’s degrees in International Relations from Troy University and in Airpower Arts & Sciences from USAF’s School of Advanced Airpower Studies, and a bachelor’s of science from the US Air Force Academy. He was also a national security fellow at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Stephen Elliott is the Senior Vice President for Compliance & General Counsel for IAI North America.
He is a lawyer, businessman and diplomat. Prior to joining IAI, he held senior positions in the U.S. State and Defense Departments, including as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Compliance. He practiced law for many years with the US Department of Defense, concentrating in contract, international trade, and other regulatory law. Immediately prior to joining IAI, he was Director of Compliance at United Technologies Corporation. He is a graduate of Eastern University and the Howard University School of Law.
